Dylan Cooke, a native of Anderson, South Carolina, discovered his passion for barbecue at 15 while working at his friend’s family’s Saturday-only spot, Sadler’s Creek BBQ. He later pursued a music career, traveling nationwide to perform, before reconnecting with cooking in 2017 after receiving a Big Green Egg from his wife. When the pandemic halted his music career, Dylan began selling homemade barbecue meals, quickly gaining a local following that led to the creation of Fork Grove Barbecue as a catering and pop-up venture. In 2023, he opened a brick-and-mortar location, bringing his journey full circle and establishing Fork Grove as a popular destination for Texas-style barbecue. While he, for the most part, has traded his guitar for a smoker, you can still find Dylanand and the “Fork Grove Road Show” traveling to food festivals and events near and far to share the gospel of Southern-style barbecue.
